Atlasafe vs Certificial
August 20, 2026 · Updated August 30, 2026
Key takeaways
- Certificial verifies other parties' certificates through a real-time network; Atlasafe is the system of record for your own insurance program.
- The overlap is real but narrow: both touch inbound COIs; only Atlasafe holds your own policies, renewals, and coverage gaps, and only Certificial runs a verification network.
- Both publish pricing: Certificial free to $99 a month flat, Atlasafe $59 to $349 a month by policies tracked.
Atlasafe and Certificial sit on opposite sides of the same certificate: Certificial helps a requestor verify and monitor other companies' insurance through its network; Atlasafe helps a company manage its own program, the policies, renewals, gaps, brokers, and the certificates flowing both directions. If you know which side you are on, this comparison mostly decides itself. Pricing was checked on both vendors' pages, Certificial on July 21, 2026 and Atlasafe's being our own.
What does each product do?
Certificial operates a real-time COI verification network connecting insureds, their agents and brokers, and the requestors who need proof of coverage, so certificate data comes from the source instead of emailed PDFs and stays current as policies change. Its pricing: free for insureds, agents, and brokers, free for requestors tracking up to 5 suppliers, Professional $99 a month flat with unlimited users, Enterprise quote-only.
Atlasafe keeps a company's own program: every policy with its carrier, broker, coverage type, and dates; each policy's status and gaps flagged against coverage requirements you define; renewal reminders by email and in-app at configurable windows (default 90, 60, 30, and 14 days) from a nightly scan; COI tracking for certificates you collect and certificates you issue; OCR-assisted extraction from uploaded documents, confirmed by you; a zero-login magic-link portal for brokers; and versioned document storage with an audit trail. Flat tiers by policies tracked, unlimited users: Starter $59 a month (25 policies), Growth $149 (100), Pro $349 (uncapped), 14-day trial, no card.
Where is Certificial genuinely stronger?
The requestor job at any scale. If your risk is vendors' coverage lapsing unseen, Certificial's network model does what no system-of-record can: it pulls certificate truth from the issuing side and updates in real time. Atlasafe has nothing equivalent: it records the certificates you collect, and it does not verify coverage with carriers or anyone else. A property manager policing two hundred vendor COIs is Certificial's buyer, not Atlasafe's.
Where is Atlasafe genuinely stronger?
Your own program. Certificial's free insured-side account exists to serve the requestors asking about you; it is not a program manager. Atlasafe holds the whole picture: what you carry versus what your contracts require, when everything renews, which broker owns which policy, where the endorsements and loss runs live, and the certificates moving in both directions. To be equally plain: Atlasafe is not a broker, gives no insurance advice, produces no quotes, and does not determine or guarantee coverage or compliance; those determinations rest with your carriers and brokers, and reminders are email and in-app only.
Which should you choose?
By the insured on the certificate. Watching vendors: Certificial, and price it against its alternatives, bcs above all. Managing your own program, with vendor COIs as one stream inside it: Atlasafe, and the program management guide shows the full job. Some companies genuinely need both lanes covered, and they are different purchases.
